Job Description

As a Funeral Location Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our funeral home. This role involves providing compassionate guidance to families during their time of loss, coordinating services, and ensuring that all operations are compliant with regulations and executed with care.

Responsibilities

  • Manage logistics for funeral operations while providing support to grieving families.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for services such as floral arrangements, transport and catering.
  • Administer financial records, billing, and pricing of services offered.
  • Monitor facility maintenance and ensure a respectful environment.
  • Lead regular team meetings to discuss operational improvements and client feedback.
  • Actively participate in community outreach to raise awareness of services.
  • Ensure staff adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice.
  • Help facilitate grief support services or referrals for families in need.
  • Handle emergencies or unexpected situations calmly and effectively.
  • Regularly update operational procedures to comply with changing regulations.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in funeral services or related field (preferred)
  • Funeral director and embalmer license (required)
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience preferred
Technical Skills
  • Inventory management software
Soft Skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
Certifications
  • Certification in grief counselling (preferred)
Languages
  • English: Fluent
