Job Description

In the role of Pet Crematory Worker, you will participate in cremation operations, assist with the preparation of remains, and offer comfort to grieving families. Your work will ensure dignified after-care for pets.

Responsibilities

• Receive and transport pets' remains from clients to the crematory unit.
• Prepare each pet's remains for cremation, including the removal of any personal items.
• Operate cremation equipment while adhering to all safety and operational protocols.
• Carefully collect and process the ashes post-cremation for return to the client.
• Assist with packaging and labeling ashes for clients, ensuring clear communication throughout.
• Support the team in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Engage with grieving families compassionately to provide emotional support.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Requirements

Education

• No formal qualifications required, but previous experience in a crematory or pet care environment is preferred.

Experience

• Experience working with animals or in a caring environment is advantageous.
