Pump Operator

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Pump Operator to be part of our dynamic team at ABC Pumps. This role involves operating and maintaining pumps used across various industries to efficiently transfer and distribute liquids or gases. The right candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude along with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in real-time. Strong adherence to safety protocols and an aptitude for teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the operation of multiple pumps and ensure optimal performance.
• Prepare and submit reports on pump performance and issues.
• Perform troubleshooting on malfunctioning pumps and recommend solutions.
• Assist in project management related to pump installations or upgrades.
• Provide feedback to management regarding equipment performance and safety adherence.
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Pump Operator License or certification

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in pump operation and maintenance.

Technical Skills

• Mechanical aptitude
• Pump operation software knowledge

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Teamwork

Certifications

• First Aid and CPR certification (advantageous)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in working with hazardous or specialized liquids/gases: Experience in handling and operating pumps for hazardous materials.
• Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS): Familiarity with software systems that track maintenance and operations.
