Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pond Worker to join our team. The role involves maintaining and caring for ponds in various locations. The successful candidate will have a passion for aquatic environments and possess strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks in ponds, lakes, and other aquatic environments.
• Assist in the installation and repair of pond infrastructure, such as pumps and aeration systems.
• Conduct fish population assessments and implement stocking programs as needed.
• Identify and control aquatic invasive species using appropriate techniques.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during all pond maintenance activities.

Requirements

Education

• No formal qualifications required, but certifications in aquaculture are a plus

Experience

• At least 1-2 years of experience in pond maintenance or a related field is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of aquatic plants, fish, and aquatic ecosystems
• Water quality testing and analysis

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills

Certifications

• Cert III in Aquaculture
• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of local regulations and environmental requirements: Understanding of policies that govern aquatic environments.
• Experience with machinery used in pond management: Ability to operate and maintain relevant tools and machinery.
