Mechanical Estimator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Estimator to join our dynamic team in Sydney. As a key player in our projects, you will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimates for various mechanical engineering projects including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Your expertise will ensure that we maintain our competitive edge in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits to gain an understanding of project requirements.
• Develop detailed cost breakdowns for complex projects.
• Work with design teams to ensure estimates align with project specifications.
• Monitor project budgets and conduct regular cost analyses.
• Provide support during project execution to ensure adherence to budgets.
• Develop methodologies for estimating costs on future projects.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in estimating.
• Liaise with subcontractors to obtain quote comparisons.
• Assist in training new team members on estimating processes.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is also acceptable

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience with mechanical systems

• Project Management Software

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Knowledge of Local Building Codes: Understanding of NSW local building codes and regulations.
