Chemical Technician

Job Description

As a Chemical Technician, you'll take charge of formulating and developing colour coatings and providing technical support for our customers. This role requires strong analytical skills and a passion for innovation in the coatings industry.

Responsibilities

• Conduct colour matching and analysis using spectrophotometry techniques.
• Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand customer needs.
• Ensure equipment used in production is maintained and calibrated.
• Utilize colour formulation software to design and test new products.
• Document and report findings to the Production Manager for review.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in chemistry or materials science

Experience

• Experience in the paint, coatings, or ink industry is advantageous

Technical Skills

• Process Improvement
• Quality Assurance

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Hands-on experience in the coatings industry: Proven track record in developing and testing coatings.
• Knowledge of Environmental Regulations: Awareness of environmental impacts and regulations related to chemical manufacturing.
