Job Description

As an Occupational Therapist at Allied Health Services in Mildura, you will play a pivotal role in assessing patients' needs and implementing therapeutic interventions. You’ll work closely with individuals to improve their daily living skills and enhance their quality of life through tailored therapeutic strategies.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose clients' abilities, skills, and needs.
• Create and implement occupational therapy interventions.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members in treatment plans.
• Evaluate and document patient progress and outcomes.
• Educate clients on strategies for daily living and work environments.
• Facilitate access to resources and support services for clients.
• Assist clients in developing coping and adaptive strategies.
• Embed evidence-based practices into therapy sessions.
• Adapt therapy techniques where necessary to meet diverse needs.
• Provide training and supervision to junior staff and students.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in occupational therapy practices

Technical Skills

• Rehabilitation Techniques
• Patient Management Systems

• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Registered Occupational Therapist (ROT)
• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
