Job Description

We are searching for a compassionate Marriage and Family Therapist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will conduct assessments, implement treatment plans, and provide therapy to individuals and families facing mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patient's needs.
• Create and implement personalized treatment plans using evidence-based modalities.
• Lead therapy sessions and provide psychoeducation to clients and families.
• Work alongside a diverse team of healthcare professionals for holistic care.
• Ensure all client documentation is maintained and updated regularly.
• Attend case meetings and contribute to treatment strategy discussions.
• Educate clients and their families on mental health resources and coping strategies.
• Pursue continuing education to remain informed on best practices and new research.
• Adhere strictly to ethical principles and maintain client confidentiality.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field
• Current registration with AHPRA required

Experience

• At least 2 years' experience in a therapeutic role

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Trauma-Informed Care

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Mental Health First Aid
• Certified Family Therapist

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Expertise in family systems therapy: Training and experience in family systems approaches to therapy.
• Familiarity with child and adolescent therapy: Experience working with young people and their families.
