P-3 Armament/Ordnance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled P-3 Armament/Ordnance Technician who will ensure the proper maintenance and repair of armament systems for P-3 aircraft. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in aviation maintenance with an emphasis on ordnance systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in armament systems and components.
• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections on P-3 aircraft.
• Collaborate with engineering and flight operations personnel to coordinate maintenance activities.
• Document all maintenance activities and ensure compliance with all safety standards.
• Train junior technicians on maintaining armament systems.
• Participate in safety audits and ensure the workplace is compliant with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma of Aeroskills (Mechanical)
• Diploma of Aeroskills (Avionics)

Experience

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in aircraft maintenance, focusing on armament and ordnance systems, is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with technical manuals and schematics

Certifications

• Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical)
• Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience within an Integrated Maintenance Activity (IMA): Experience working within the Australian Defence Force is highly regarded.
• Familiarity with modern maintenance management systems: Knowledge of electronic maintenance systems for tracking repair activities.
