Job Description

As a vital member of our insurance team, the Adjuster will be responsible for evaluating claims, investigating incidents to gather evidence, and negotiating settlements. This role requires adept communication skills to liaise effectively with policyholders and claimants while preparing comprehensive reports for each case.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly evaluate insurance claims and decide on coverage applicable.
• Conduct comprehensive investigations into accidents, collecting evidence.
• Engage in negotiation processes to achieve fair settlements with claimants.
• Foster communication with policyholders, claimants, and other stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain detailed reports for each insurance claim.
• Uphold compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
• Coordinate with various departments to facilitate claims processing.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping and timely updates of claim files.
• Monitor industry standards and changes in regulations.
• Assist in training junior staff in claims processes.

Requirements

Education

• Australian Certificate III in Insurance (General Insurance Claims)
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Insurance or related field (preferred)

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in insurance claims adjusting or a related role.
