We are seeking a motivated Insurance Underwriter to join our team in Brisbane. The successful applicant will be responsible for evaluating insurance applications, assessing risks, and determining appropriate coverage for clients. This role demands strong analytical skills and the ability to make decisions based on risk factors.

Responsibilities

• Assess and underwrite insurance applications using established guidelines.
• Identify risk factors and establish terms tailored to each client.
• Support marketing efforts by providing expert underwriting insights.
• Advise clients on risk management strategies to reduce claims frequency.
• Participate in internal reviews and strategic discussions regarding underwriting policies.
• Provide expert advice on complex underwriting cases.
• Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes to update practices.
• Develop strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field
• Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in underwriting or risk assessment
