Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Endoscopy Registered Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team in Melbourne. This role is critical to ensuring high-quality care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. The ideal candidate will have the knowledge and experience in nursing practices specific to endoscopy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the endoscopy unit.
  • Assist during endoscopic procedures by ensuring equipment is ready and available.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and alleviate concerns.
  • Monitor and document vital signs during and after procedures.
  • Help in preparing patients for discharge while ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to policy development.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Support ongoing research initiatives in endoscopy nursing.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
  • Post-graduate qualification in Endoscopy Nursing (preferred)
Experience
  • 3+ years in a clinical setting relevant to endoscopy
