Job Description

We are looking for dedicated Nursing Assistants to join our team. You will play a crucial role in providing basic care and support to patients, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing. The successful candidates will work under the supervision of nursing staff and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with daily living activities such as bathing and grooming.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to the nursing team.
• Assist patients with meal preparation and feeding.
• Help maintain patient comfort and safety.
• Document care provided and any changes in patients' conditions.
• Support nurses in performing medical procedures as required.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or equivalent

Experience

• Prior experience in a hospital or aged care setting is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of electronic medical records systems
• Ability to operate medical equipment

Soft Skills

• Flexibility
• Cultural awareness

Certifications

• Work with Children Check (if applicable)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Ability to work flexible hours: Willingness to work on weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Prior experience with dementia patients: Knowledge and skills to provide compassionate care to patients with cognitive impairments.
