As a Dispensing Optician, you will play a crucial role in assisting customers in selecting and fitting the appropriate eyewear. Your expertise in interpreting prescriptions and providing accurate measurements will ensure optimal vision correction. This position requires a passion for customer service and the ability to collaborate with optometrists in delivering exceptional eye care.

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers to understand their vision needs and preferences.
• Conduct detailed measurements for ensuring optimal lens fit.
• Support customers in understanding lens options and eyewear technology.
• Facilitate the eyewear purchasing process while ensuring a delightful shopping experience.
• Participate in continuing education to enhance optical knowledge and fit techniques.
• Work with team members to achieve sales targets and customer satisfaction goals.
• Educate customers about insurance coverage and payment options for eyewear.
• Help to maintain the organization and presentation of the retail space.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.
• Train new staff on eyewear fitting procedures and customer service excellence.

Requirements

Education

• Certification in Optical Dispensing

Experience

• 3+ years of optical retail experience preferred.

Technical Skills

• Frame selection expertise
• Optical software proficiency

Languages

• English: Fluent
