Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our vibrant team in Toowoomba. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to a variety of animals and working collaboratively with our experienced staff to ensure the highest health standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the clinical care of patients, ensuring accurate diagnoses and best treatment plans.
  • Lead surgical operations and assist in complex procedures.
  • Deliver preventative healthcare solutions to pet owners.
  • Oversee the medical records system to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Work closely with clients to discuss options and outcomes.
  • Train and guide clinical staff on new procedures and methods.
  • Involve oneself in community outreach initiatives promoting animal health.
  • Conduct research in veterinary medicine to enhance practice outcomes.
  • Organize continuing education for the veterinary team.
  • Contribute to a culture of teamwork and mutual respect in the practice.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent
  • Membership in relevant veterinary associations is a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years experience in clinical veterinary practice focused on surgery
