Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to join our healthcare team in Sydney. The PCA will provide essential support to patients, assisting them with daily living activities while ensuring a safe and positive environment for recovery.

Responsibilities

• Help patients with daily personal care like showering and dressing.
• Track and report vital signs such as heart rate and temperature.
• Deliver medications appropriately as directed by nursing staff.
• Aid in patient mobility and transitions between different locations.
• Keep patient areas tidy and secure to promote safety.
• Provide comfort and reassurance to patients and family members.
• Assist with nutritional support and meal preparation.
• Document all aspects of care accurately.
• Participate in providing supportive end-of-life care if required.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Health Services Assistance
• First Aid Certification

Experience

• Prior experience in a hospital or aged care setting is an advantage.

• Use of Medical Equipment
• Compliance with Health Protocols

Certifications

• First Aid Certification
• Current CPR Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
