Neurodiagnostic Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Neurodiagnostic Technologist to join our surgical team. This role involves monitoring and recording neurological activity during surgical procedures. You will collaborate closely with neurosurgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and surgical success.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients pre-operatively to determine suitability for monitoring.
• Continuously monitor neurological data during surgery, providing insights to the medical team.
• React to any changes in neurological activity and inform the surgical team immediately.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide thorough post-operative care and follow-up with patients.
• Maintain detailed records of monitoring results for future reference.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
• Help to establish best practices for the operation of neurophysiology equipment.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Master's degree is preferable

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in intraoperative neuromonitoring

Certifications

• Intraoperative Neurophysiology Technologist Certification
• Registration with ASINM
