Job Description

As an Architect at Design Solutions Pty Ltd, you will be responsible for creating innovative and sustainable designs that meet our clients' needs. You will collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality projects from conceptual design through to completion. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of architectural principles, sustainability practices, and project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead design charrettes and brainstorming sessions with the team.
• Research and integrate sustainable design practices into projects.
• Prepare and submit planning and building applications.
• Assist in marketing efforts by producing portfolio materials.
• Manage client relationships and expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct post-occupancy evaluations and ensure client satisfaction.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years in both residential and commercial architecture

Technical Skills

• 3D Rendering
• Building Codes Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Client Management

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficient in GIS software: Experience with Geographic Information Systems for site analysis.
• Knowledge of historic preservation techniques: Familiarity with techniques and regulations for preserving historic buildings.
