Retort Press Operator

Job Description

As a Retort Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the retort press machine to ensure the proper sterilization of food products. The ideal candidate will have experience in a food manufacturing environment and will be skilled in following procedures to ensure quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Document machine performance and product quality metrics.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet daily processing goals.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for production processes.
• Respond to emergencies and malfunctions according to established protocols.

Requirements

Education

• Cert IV in Manufacturing or related field.

Experience

• Experience operating a retort press or other food processing equipment is an advantage.

• Quality assurance procedures

Certifications

• Food Safety Supervisor certification
• WHMIS training

Languages

• English: Fluent
