Job Description

As an Industrial Ecologist, you will play a vital role in managing and conserving Australia's natural resources, including land, water, and minerals. Your expertise will shape sustainable practices, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations while maintaining the delicate balance of ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Lead field surveys and data collection for various environmental projects.
• Identify opportunities for ecological restoration and rehabilitation activities.
• Provide advice on the sustainable use of natural resources in line with environmental policies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance project outcomes.
• Utilise GIS and other analytical tools for data visualisation and interpretation.
• Stay updated with current environmental legislation and advocacy efforts.
• Promote best practices in sustainability among project teams and clients.
• Develop partnerships with NGOs and other environmental organisations.
• Continuously assess and report on the ecological health of project sites.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resources Management or related field
• Postgraduate qualifications in Environmental Policy or Planning are preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in natural resources management or a closely related field

• Environmental Modelling Software

• ISO 14001 Lead Auditor

Languages

• English: Fluent
