Ornamental Machine Operator

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Ornamental Machine Operator to join our enthusiastic team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in operating and maintaining ornamental machines, ensuring the production of high-quality decorative metal products.

Responsibilities

• Ensure machines are set up properly before production runs.
• Perform regular maintenance checks and report any malfunctions.
• Work closely with the quality assurance team to meet product specifications.
• Document production data and adhere to reporting standards.
• Implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Manage inventory of materials needed for machine operations.
• Record daily production output and report to the Production Manager.
• Assist in the design and creation of new ornamental designs.
• Support other team members as required.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Metal Fabrication)

Experience

• 5+ years of experience working with ornamental machines

Technical Skills

• CNC Machine Operation
• Metalworking Skills

Soft Skills

• Effective Communication
• Time Management

Certifications

• Forklift License
• Safety Operating Procedures Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Previous Experience in Metal Fabrication: Experience in the ornamental metal fabrication industry is an advantage.
• Familiarity with CAD Software: Knowledge of CAD software for design interpretation.
