Distillation Operator

Job Description

As a Distillation Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining distillation equipment to separate and purify liquids in a manufacturing environment. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to adhere to safety protocols while ensuring product quality.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of distillation processes to ensure efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
• Assist in training new team members on equipment operations and safety practices.
• Keep accurate logs of production processes, including input and output measurements.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processing methods.
• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and report needs to the supervisor.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Chemical Processing or equivalent

Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in a distillation or chemical processing role

Technical Skills

• Distillation Equipment Operation
• Chemical Analysis Techniques

• Problem-Solving

Advantageous

• Forklift License: Possession of a current forklift license is advantageous.
• Experience with Hazard Analysis: Knowledge in hazard identification and risk assessment processes.
