Job Description

As a City Dispatcher, you will coordinate and manage the movement of goods within Melbourne, ensuring timely deliveries and effective communication with drivers and clients.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily delivery operations and ensure efficiency.
• Utilise dispatching software to monitor deliveries in real time.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery status.
• Prepare daily reports on delivery performance and driver activity.
• Foster strong relationships with drivers and clients for seamless operations.
• Conduct regular updates of delivery schedules based on changes.
• Facilitate problem resolution between drivers and customers.
• Implement safety protocols and encourage best practices among drivers.
• Assist in training new dispatchers and drivers.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss operational improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Logistics Management
• Valid driver's license

Experience

• 3 years' experience in a logistics or dispatching environment

Technical Skills

• Logistics software
• Traffic management systems

Soft Skills

• Team leadership
• Strong organisational skills
