Correctional Lieutenant

Job Description

As a Correctional Lieutenant, you will oversee and manage the daily operations of a correctional facility with a focus on staff supervision, inmate safety, and compliance with regulations. This role requires a leader who can handle complex situations and maintain a secure environment for both staff and inmates.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities and ensure operational effectiveness
• Implement security measures and emergency protocols
• Monitor staff performance and provide mentorship
• Work collaboratively with law enforcement and community services
• Review and approve staff schedules and assignments
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
• Prepare reports detailing facility performance and incidents

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Criminal Justice or related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in corrections or law enforcement, with supervisory experience preferred
