Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Game Preserve Manager to lead our conservation efforts. The successful candidate will oversee the management of our game preserve, ensuring the welfare and sustainability of wildlife populations. This role demands a blend of strong leadership, in-depth knowledge of ecological principles, and a passion for wildlife preservation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day management of the game preserve.
  • Evaluate and optimise habitat conditions to support wildlife.
  • Oversee educational programs for visitors concerning conservation initiatives.
  • Conduct inspections and assessments to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Utilise GIS technology for wildlife tracking and habitat mapping.
  • Engage with local communities to promote conservation awareness.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on wildlife health and preservation status.
  • Facilitate wildlife research initiatives in collaboration with academic institutions.
  • Ensure all projects align with our mission of sustainability and environmental stewardship.
  • Represent the preserve at community events and conservation forums.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Conservation Biology or related field
  • Master's degree in Environmental Science is highly regarded
