Boat Designer

Job Description

The Boat Designer will be responsible for designing and developing boats according to customer specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards. They will work collaboratively with other team members to create innovative and functional designs.

Responsibilities

• Utilise advanced 3D modelling software to create innovative boat designs.
• Conduct feasibility studies on new concepts and designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Implement industry best practices and adhere to safety regulations.
• Provide technical support during the fabrication and assembly of boats.
• Evaluate performance of existing designs and suggest improvements.
• Foster strong relationships with clients to understand their design needs and feedback.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and materials in the boating industry.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering
• Additional certifications in design software preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in boat design and development

Technical Skills

• Composite Materials Knowledge
• Hydrodynamics Understanding

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking
• Adaptability

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Marine Engineering Principles: Understanding of marine vehicle dynamics and stability.
