Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Pulp Plant Supervisor. In this role, you'll oversee the daily operations of our pulp plant, ensuring optimal production and adherence to safety protocols. You'll manage a diverse team, supervise the activities of operators and technicians, and implement strategies to enhance plant efficiency while maintaining high standards of quality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of the pulp plant, ensuring compliance with production targets.
  • Develop and implement training programs for new staff to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct safety audits and risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure timely maintenance of machinery and equipment to avoid production downtimes.
  • Analyse production data to identify trends and opportunities for process optimisation.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for any production-related concerns.
  • Facilitate communication between departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage inventory and procurement of raw materials as needed.
  • Promote best practices for quality control and environmental management.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Pulp and Paper Technology
  • Diploma in Safety Management
Experience
  • 5+ years in pulp and paper manufacturing supervision.
