Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join our Cairns team. The ideal candidate will engage with clients experiencing various psychological issues, providing assessments, therapy, and support. Your role will involve developing personalized treatment plans and working collaboratively with other health professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Responsibilities

• Administer psychological tests and assess clients' cognitive and emotional functioning.
• Utilise a range of therapeutic techniques, including CBT, DBT, and mindfulness.
• Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate clients and families about mental health and wellness strategies.
• Collaborate on case management and treatment planning with other health professionals.
• Engage in community outreach programs to promote mental health awareness.
• Provide emergency intervention when necessary and assess immediate risks.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or equivalent

Experience

• At least 3 years working with diverse populations in clinical settings
