Job Description

As a Machine Feeder and Offbearer, you will be pivotal in ensuring the efficient operation of lathe machines, maintaining the flow of materials, and producing high-quality components. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will be essential in achieving production targets.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and set up lathes for production runs.
• Perform regular maintenance checks on machines.
• Conduct quality inspections and document results.
• Adhere strictly to safety and company policies.
• Engage in problem-solving to troubleshoot machine malfunctions.
• Assist in meeting production deadlines and goals.
• Engage with the manufacturing team to optimise workflow.
• Participate in team meetings to facilitate communication.
• Maintain accurate records of machine performance and issues.
• Support a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Education

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering
• Cert IV in Workplace Health and Safety

Experience

• 3+ years in a manufacturing environment, preferably with CNC machines

Technical Skills

• CNC machine operation
• Quality control techniques

Soft Skills

• Time management skills
• Teamwork skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with lean manufacturing principles: Understanding and application of lean practices to improve efficiency.
• Forklift license: Valid forklift operation license preferred.
