Freight Forwarder

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder to join our dynamic team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and processing all export shipments by air, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely delivery to customers. Strong knowledge of customs procedures and excellent communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end process of air freight shipments to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Assist with the preparation of export documentation, including bills of lading and packing lists.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients to provide updates on shipment status.
• Coordinate with overseas agents for pick-ups and deliveries.
• Adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements during freight operations.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in logistics or supply chain management preferred

Experience

• Experience with perishable or dangerous goods shipments is a plus.

Technical Skills

• Customs regulations knowledge
• Negotiation skills

• Team player
• Problem-solving

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Fluency in a second language, such as Mandarin or Spanish: Ability to communicate in additional languages is a plus.
• Familiarity with Incoterms: Knowledge of international commercial terms is advantageous.
