Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our energetic team in Mackay. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of various structures while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design projects from concept through to completion.
• Perform simulations and testing on proposed designs.
• Assess and upgrade existing structures for safety and efficiency.
• Facilitate collaboration between various engineering teams.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Prepare technical documentation for project approval processes.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.
• Contribute to business development strategies and proposals.
• Participate in post-project evaluations and feedback.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural design and analysis

Technical Skills

• Structural Design
• Finite Element Analysis

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer
• LEED Accredited Professional, is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
