Animal Caretaker

Job Description

Join our team as an Animal Caretaker where you'll be integral in ensuring the comfort and happiness of pets in our daycare facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising animals, maintaining a hygienic environment, and communicating with pet owners about their animal's wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all pets are safe and secure during their stay.
• Engage in daily activities with pets to promote socialization.
• Implement cleanliness protocols to maintain hygiene.
• Interact with pet owners to provide updates on their pets.
• Identify and respond to any behavioral issues.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss animal care strategies.
• Assist with intake and departure of pets.
• Conduct health checks for all animals.
• Help train new staff on animal care procedures.
• Maintain inventory of pet supplies and equipment.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Animal Care or equivalent
• Current First Aid Certification

Experience

• Experience in customer service in addition to animal care is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Animal Care Software Familiarity
• Pet Nutrition Knowledge

• Time Management

Certifications

• First Aid Certificate for Animals
• Police Certificate (for criminal history check)

• English: Fluent
