Job Description

We are searching for a dedicated Sacristan to join our vibrant team at Faithful Community Church. The Sacristan will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth delivery of religious services, maintaining the church environment, and assisting clergy members with various ceremonial duties. This position requires someone with a heart for service and a commitment to fostering a welcoming atmosphere for all parishioners.

Responsibilities

• Prepare liturgical items and ensure they are ready for the service.
• Assist the clergy in setting up for sacraments and other church events.
• Clean and maintain all church facilities, ensuring they are welcoming for congregants.
• Keep an accurate inventory of all religious items and supplies.
• Coordinate volunteers for service activities and special events.
• Help with administrative duties as needed, such as record-keeping for services.
• Manage scheduling for church events, including meetings and services.
• Provide customer service to parishioners and address any concerns they may have.

Requirements

Education

• Experience in event planning or coordination is advantageous.

Experience

• Previous service experience in a church or similar organisation is preferred.
