Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child, Family, and School Social Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play an essential role in providing support to vulnerable children and their families, working collaboratively with schools and community resources to foster a nurturing environment. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to child welfare, and the ability to develop individualised support strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the emotional and psychological needs of children and families.
  • Lead group sessions for family support and parenting skills.
  • Coordinate with other professionals to create holistic care plans.
  • Document progress and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Engage with community resources for additional support.
  • Provide training and resources to schools on child welfare.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution between parents and children.
  • Participate in continuous professional development.
  • Conduct home visits as necessary to assess family dynamics.
  • Advocate for necessary services within the community.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field
  • Master's degree in Social Work preferred
Experience
  • Experience in community outreach programs is a plus
