Job Description
As a Crossing Guard and Flagger, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining safety at railway crossings. You'll operate signals and gates, ensuring safe passage for vehicles and pedestrians while monitoring for any obstructions.
Responsibilities
Ensure the safe passage of vehicles and pedestrians at railway crossings.
Communicate with train operators to ensure safe operations.
Monitor and maintain crossing equipment in good working order.
Train and guide new staff on safety protocols and operational procedures.
Respond to emergency situations swiftly and effectively.
Recording operational data and incidents to help improve safety measures.
Conduct hazard assessments and safety evaluations regularly.
Support the Crossing Supervisor in maintaining compliance with safety regulations.
Requirements
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
Prior experience in traffic management or safety roles preferred.
Technical Skills
Understanding of safety regulations
Operational knowledge of crossing systems

Certifications
First Aid Certification
Languages
English: Fluent
