Library Technician

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment as needed.
• Stack, package, and label library materials according to standard procedures.
• Assist patrons with locating and checking out materials.
• Provide customer support and troubleshooting for library systems.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss inventory management and service improvements.
• Document and report any issues with library equipment or supplies.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate IV in Library and Information Services is advantageous.

Experience

• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is beneficial.

Technical Skills

• Microsoft Excel
• Material handling equipment

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving skills
• Time Management

Certifications

• Forklift operation certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Previous experience in a customer service role: Skills in handling inquiries and assisting library patrons.
• Knowledge of digital library systems: Experience with online resource management.
