Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our operations team in Port Macquarie. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and supply chain management, and a passion for optimizing operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise logistics staff and ensure effective task execution.
• Develop efficient shipping and receiving processes.
• Conduct regular assessments of logistics operations and suggest improvements.
• Maintain communication with customers regarding shipment status.
• Implement cost-saving measures within the logistics department.
• Participate in forecasting and demand planning activities.
• Train new logistics staff on best practices and company policies.
• Develop contingency plans for unexpected delays or issues.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Logistics

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management

Technical Skills

• Fleet Management Software
• Project Management Tools

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Time Management

Certifications

• APICS Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM)
• Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Lean logistics principles: Knowledge of Lean principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Experience with data analytics in logistics: Proficiency in using data analytics tools to drive logistics decisions.
