Job Description
Join our team as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, where you will support speech therapists in delivering therapy sessions to clients. Your role will involve assisting in assessments and implementing individualized therapy plans.
Responsibilities
Work closely with speech therapists in assessing and planning interventions for clients.
Implement individual therapy plans and provide feedback on clients’ progress.
Assist in creating engaging therapy sessions tailored to client needs.
Document session outcomes and update patient records regularly.
Engage in professional development to enhance skills in speech therapy.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support holistic patient care.
Provide emotional support to clients and families during therapy.
Help in conducting workshops or community outreach programs about speech health.
Support the administrative team with various tasks as needed.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field
Experience
1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred
Technical Skills
Knowledge of speech analysis software
Advantageous
Experience with diverse populations: Familiarity with working with children and adults with varying speech disorders.
Additional training in assistive communication devices: Knowledge of tools to support communication for individuals with disabilities.
