Job Description

Join our vibrant team as a Seafood Counter Clerk where you'll provide outstanding service to customers, support seafood handling and preparation, and uphold our high standards of cleanliness and organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers by providing expert advice on seafood selection and preparation techniques.
  • Accurately weigh and package seafood while ensuring freshness and presentation.
  • Maintain high cleanliness standards in the seafood area, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
  • Inspect incoming seafood deliveries for quality and freshness.
  • Support seafood preparation activities, including cleaning fish and shellfish.
  • Process transactions accurately using POS systems.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and complaints effectively.
  • Ensure seafood products are rotated and restocked according to proper guidelines.
  • Work with team members to create a cooperative work environment.
  • Follow all food safety practices and company policies.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Food Safety Certificate (preferred)
Experience
  • Experience in a fast-paced retail environment, especially in food service is advantageous.
