Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Hand-Weaver to join our team and create high-quality textiles using traditional weaving techniques. The successful candidate will have a passion for craftsmanship and an eye for detail, and will work closely with our design team to create unique and beautiful pieces.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality hand-woven textiles based on design specifications.
• Assist in designing and creating new textiles that align with current trends.
• Conduct regular checks on weaving machinery and perform maintenance.
• Oversee the quality of finished textiles and provide feedback for improvement.
• Coordinate with suppliers to source the best materials for weaving.
• Document processes and fabrications for future reference.
• Engage actively in studio initiatives aimed at improving sustainability practices.
• Liaise with clients to understand their textile needs and preferences.
• Contribute creatively to the product development and ideation process.

Requirements

Education

• Formal training or apprenticeship in hand weaving

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in hand weaving.
