Job Description

As an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all staff on our construction sites. Your main responsibilities will include developing and implementing safety protocols, conducting inspections, and educating employees on safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Create tailored safety reports and action plans based on site assessments.
• Lead safety training workshops for new employees and ongoing refresher courses.
• Ensure that safety equipment and procedures are routinely updated and maintained.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
• Monitor compliance with safety regulations and provide audits of practices.
• Facilitate communication between management and staff on safety matters.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and legislative requirements.
• Assist in developing a safety culture across all levels of the organization.
• Ensure effective emergency response strategies are in place and tested.
• Promote the importance of mental health and well-being in the workplace.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in health and safety within the construction sector.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in safety management software
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures
