Job Description

We are seeking an Activities Coordinator to join our vibrant team in Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging recreational programs that enhance the quality of life for our residents in aged care facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging group activities for residents of varying abilities.
  • Liaise with external facilitators for special events and guest speakers.
  • Create a monthly activities calendar, promoting events to residents and staff.
  • Foster relationships with residents to understand their preferences and aspirations.
  • Document and assess the effectiveness of activities to inform future planning.
  • Provide support for residents during activities, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Develop partnerships with local community organizations for collaboration.
  • Assist in the management of the recreational budget and resources.
  • Train new staff members and volunteers on activity facilitation.
  • Work closely with the Guest Services and Hospitality teams to coordinate events.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma or higher qualification in Aged Care, Community Services, or a related field
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in aged care or community services
