Job Description

As a Conservation Scientist, you will design and implement engineering projects focused on environmental conservation. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure projects are sustainable and contribute to biodiversity. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of engineering principles and a passion for conservation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering projects that promote biodiversity conservation.
  • Perform ecological assessments and advise on best practices.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to push project agendas.
  • Develop educational materials to promote conservation awareness.
  • Interface with government bodies, NGOs, and private sectors to drive conservation goals.
  • Utilize GIS software for spatial analysis and project planning.
  • Monitor and review project implementation for compliance and quality assurance.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or an Environmental Science-related field
  • Master's degree in Environmental or Conservation Engineering is advantageous
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in project management within conservation or environmental sectors
Technical Skills
  • Simulation Software (e.g. Simulink)
  • Data Analysis Tools (e.g. R)
