Job Description

As a Back Shoe Cutter at Footwear Solutions Pty Ltd., you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our shoe designs. Your primary responsibility will be cutting patterns from various materials, ensuring precision and quality in every cut, while collaborating closely with designers and shoemakers to meet detailed specifications. You will play a key role in maintaining quality control and executing the production process effectively.

Responsibilities

• Interpret design drawings and specifications for precision cutting.
• Utilize a variety of hand and machine tools for cutting shoe patterns.
• Perform quality checks of cut pieces against specifications.
• Organize work area to maintain a safe and productive environment.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production and quality improvement.
• Document production activities and report any discrepancies promptly.
• Assist in inventory management of materials and tools.
• Enhance team collaboration by providing feedback and suggestions for workflow optimization.
• Stay updated with current fashion trends and materials used in footwear.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Footwear Manufacturing or equivalent
• Completion of a relevant apprenticeship is preferred

Experience

• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in shoe cutting or related fields.
