Lieutenant Firefighter

Job Description

As a Lieutenant Firefighter, you'll play a critical role in supervising our firefighting operations while fostering a culture of safety and teamwork among your colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Manage the response to emergency incidents while ensuring optimal safety.
• Conduct fire scene assessments to determine resource requirements.
• Maintain detailed records of all firefighting operations.
• Facilitate communication between firefighters and incident command.
• Assist in budget preparation and resource allocation.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
• Continuously seek improvements in operational processes.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and certification.
• Promote a culture of safety and health within the department.
• Act as a liaison between the fire department and the community.

Requirements

Education

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in Fire Science or related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in firefighting with supervisory responsibilities.
