We are seeking a highly motivated Structural Engineer to join our Canberra team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in structural design and analysis, working on diverse projects from residential buildings to commercial structures.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative structural designs that meet client needs.
• Perform load calculations and material stress tests.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to their professional development.
• Coordinate with local authorities for permits and approvals.
• Engage with clients to ensure their expectations are met.
• Document design processes and technical decisions thoroughly.
• Stay current with advancements in structural engineering practices.
• Participate in project reviews and provide feedback.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables effectively.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering projects

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Project Estimation

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Client Engagement

Certifications

• Registered Professional Engineer (RPEQ)
• CPD Training in Structural Design

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in SAP2000 or similar software: Hands-on experience with structural analysis software.
• Knowledge of building materials and specifications: Expertise in selected materials for structural integrity.
