Job Description

As a Logging Worker, you will be essential in managing and maintaining the technical infrastructure of logging operations. This role encompasses diverse tasks from installing and maintaining equipment to ensuring safety measures are adhered to, making it a critical position within the team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre-operation inspections on logging machinery.
• Assist with the development and implementation of sustainable logging practices.
• Provide logistical support for transporting logs and equipment.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project goals and updates.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures relating to health and safety.
• Support training of new workers on equipment and procedures.
• Evaluate site conditions and contribute to project planning.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant trade qualification preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience in the logging industry

Technical Skills

• Log Transportation
• Preventative Maintenance

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Chainsaw Safety Certification
• Forklift License

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Leadership Experience: Previous experience leading a team in the logging sector is advantageous.
