As a Locomotive Engineer, you'll oversee the safe and efficient operation of trains in your designated area. This role demands a keen eye for safety and compliance, coupled with solid leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate train movements and ensure adherence to schedules.
• Lead the training of crew members, promoting a culture of safety.
• Collaborate with management to address operational challenges.
• Conduct safety audits and assessments regularly.
• Ensure all crew members comply with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with the development of new policies and procedures.
• Engage in continuous professional development related to rail operations.
• Facilitate effective communication between departments.

Requirements

Education

• Australian Certificate IV in Rail Operations or equivalent
• Current Rail Safety Worker Card
• Current Driver's License

Experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience in rail operations
