Job Description

As an Astronomer at our premier research facility in Sydney, you will conduct experiments and analyse data to drive advancements in the field of astronomy. You'll collaborate with a talented team of scientists, contributing to high-impact research that shapes our understanding of the universe.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement experiments to explore astronomical phenomena.
  • Analyze data using statistical software and develop insights.
  • Collaborate on interdisciplinary teams to develop research initiatives.
  • Write comprehensive reports summarising research methodologies and results.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to research interns.
  • Manage laboratory resources and ensure optimal performance of equipment.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field
  • PhD in Astronomy or related field is preferred
Experience
  • 3-5 years of hands-on research experience
