As a Pug Machine Operator at XYZ Ceramics, you will take on the essential task of operating and maintaining pug machines within our bustling manufacturing environment. Your role is pivotal as you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient processing of clay and other materials, playing a crucial role in the production quality. We are looking for someone who is not only technically savvy but also possesses a keen eye for detail, ensuring that our products meet and exceed our customers' expectations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and control multiple pug machines for clay processing.
• Adjust machine settings to meet product specifications.
• Perform quality checks on outgoing products.
• Complete daily maintenance logs and production reports.
• Assist in training and mentoring new staff in machine operations.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team on repairs and upgrades.
• Ensure a tidy and safe working environment at all times.
• Report any malfunctions or equipment issues promptly.
• Participate in meetings to discuss production targets and objectives.
• Maintain high standards of productivity and efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical or vocational training in manufacturing processes is preferable

Experience

• Prior experience in ceramics or manufacturing settings preferred
